TPL..-B: The 2-stroke powerpack

The TPL ..-B turbocharger is designed primarily for large, modern two-stroke marine diesel engines. Six frame sizes cover the engine output range of 3,000 to 28,000 kW per turbocharger.

  • Axial turbine with wide-chord blading
  • Internal plain bearings, lubricated by engine lube oil
  • Large-diameter radial compressor with backswept blades
  • Free-floating axial bearing disc; radial bearing bushes with squeeze oil damper
  • Oil inlet and outlet at bottom
  • No water-cooling
  • Turbine and compressor cleaning integrated
  • Improved air filter silencer
  • Modular design
  • Variable positioning of casings and flanges
